Pediatric Anxiety and OCD: Integrating Science with Care
A presentation about clinical and research services at the Pediatric Anxiety Research Center (PARC) at Bradley Hospital. Presenters will discuss common pediatric anxiety and OCD spectrum disorders and how they typically present in pediatric populations, using a culturally responsive lens. This session for professionals will cover strategies for managing behaviors related to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) across primary and secondary levels. Strategies derived from the princples of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and materials to support staff in a variety of school settings will be discussed and distributed (e.g., behavioral cheat guides, integrity checks, behavior protocols, crisis, and elopement plans and more).
