Using your smartphone’s camera, Seeing AI audibly describes what it captures, providing you with the information you need. This powerful, free smartphone app allows you to ask questions about a product, document, or scene, and provides you with more information. Our workshop is open to anyone new to Seeing AI, those needing a refresher, or individuals wanting to explore further. After an initial introduction, you will receive personalized assistance from a trained volunteer to learn how to use Seeing AI functions according to your goals. We will discuss the challenges and best tips for accessing content for people with vision loss: Learn and review options to access audiobooks, newspapers, and podcasts; Discuss best-in-class aids and devices for accessing particular platforms; Discover strategies for overcoming challenges and tips for making digital content more accessible, including what works and what doesn’t.
