Several Kosher stops are available along Interstate 87, courtesy of Rav Elimelech Leifer, 518-538-3221 or 1-855-Route-87. At each stop, you can stretch your legs, have a coffee, meet other Jews, learn something, and rest for awhile. The stops are:
1)Exit 32—741 Stowersville Road, Lewis NY 12950--from Canada southbound, make a right at the stop sign off the exit ramp. It is the first house on your right. From Albany northbound, take exit 32, make a left at the stop sign, and it is the first house on the right. Lukoil gas station nearby is open 24 hours.
2)Exit 18---229 Corinth Road, Queensbury NY 12804. 24 hour gas station nearby.
3)Exit 26---Opening summer 2013--6 Omstedville Road, Pottersville NY 12860
4)Exit 42—Opening summer 2014—99 Prospect Street, Champlain NY 12919
5)Exit 9---Opening September 2015---1684 Route 9, Halfmoon NY 12065
Kosher Food
There is a large Kosher section in the Price Chopper supermarket at Exit 2W near Albany just before the toll section of the 87 to New York. The address is 1892 Central Avenue, Colonie NY.

Motel
The Comfort Inn at 17 Old Gick Road in Saratoga at Exit 15 charges $70 per night if you use cod “LTJS”. There is a 24 hour Walmart nearby that sells fruits and vegetables.
