Yad Sarah Safety Bracelet

Our son – who is nonverbal and has been traveling special ed for 13 years – has gotten “lost” twice. He has also run away from home more than once. This has led us to look for a solution.

The solution we have used for the past 6 years or so is YAD SARAH’s life bracelet.

It’s a bracelet which has the yad sarah number on one side and an identification code proper to the person wearing the bracelet, on the other side.

Anyone calling Yad Sarah and giving then code would be able to receive our contacts # and all pertinent medical info about our son (a LOT more info than can fit on a regular med-id bracelet).

(We checked once and honestly would have liked to be more certain they don’t just release the info without double checking who is asking for it, but as someone else wrote having no info available is more dangerous than having all the info).

This bracelet cost us a one time fee or 70 NIS (more or less) and has given us more than value in peace of mind.

The catch is, that we recently learned that they had discontinued this service for “lack of demand” – I cried GEWALT because we certainly need it (ours just broke and needs to be replaced) and I am still waiting for them to get back to me about making a new one (they still have all the data in their computers and will not delete that so that we could make a new bracelet privately and continue to rely on them) but I did tell yad Sara that IMHO many people could use this service – and would gladly pay for it – but are not aware that it even existed.

SO IF ANY OF YOU THINK YOU COULD USE THIS / WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS SERVICE

Please call Yad Sarah and let them know you want it continued!

Yad Sarah's number is: 02-6444495 (ask for Shai Tavori)
