            Training for people with disabilities who wish to become pilots.

Scholarships cover a 5-6 week ground and flight training, testing, travel, and lodging as required.  Training leads to receipt of a pilot’s license.

3)      Freedom’s Wings International

Sailplane rides and instruction for the disabled.  Some planes have hand controls to operate the rudders.  Free 20 minute introductory ride.

Additional rides and lessons at cost of tow (about $55).  For free lessons, participant must be a member of Freedom’s Wings and the Soaring Society of America.  Annual membership costs about $100 per year.
