Adaptive Hiking Equipment
Huckleberry Hiking Cascade Cart
Hiking is a wonderful family activity. But accessible trails are few and far between. The Huckleberry Cascade Cart enables hiking trail accessibility without moving a single rock. It enables an adult to easily pull along a passenger up to 150 pounds on a typical single-track trail while only feeling ¼ of their weight.
To operate the hiking cart, one person wears a backpack attached to a foldable frame with a molded seat over a single fat wheel. The rigid frame allows a person to haul the child while feeling only about 25% of their weight. Hiking poles double as kickstands for loading, and an attached hand brake slows the cart on descents or over obstacles. The cart allows families to bring their children on single-track trails without a wheelchair. Recommended for riders up to 150 pounds. Optional accessories available for different needs.
