A program administered by the Met Council in New York City which performs free handyman services for low income seniors ages 60 or older who are New York City residents. Services include installing and repairing:
- Bathtub grab bars
- Smoke and carbon monoxide detector
- Door locks and chains
- Window locks and screens
- Wood railing
- Broken tiles
- Electrical outlets and switches
- Doorbells
- Light bulbs
- Handheld showers
- Holes, cracks and dents in the walls
- Waterproofing tubs and showers
- Winterizing windows, doors and A/C units

A free service for senior citizens 60+ and people with disabilities residing in Rockland County, New York.
Volunteers will do simple household repairs including fixing leaking faucets and toilets, replacing light bulbs and smoke detector batteries, installing grab bars, replacing switches, light fixtures and plugs on lamps, putting plastic on windows, applying weather stripping and hanging pictures.
Chore volunteers will NOT do outdoor work or emergency repairs. The only charge is for materials used for the repairs.
