College Scholarships

Each year, Lighthouse Guild offers scholarships to outstanding college-bound and graduate students who are legally blind from across the United States. The scholarship amount varies from year to year. In 2022, ten college-bound scholarships, and five graduate scholarships were awarded, with each recipient receiving $10,000 in unrestricted funds. That is, you can use it for your tuition, room and board, books, supplies, or travel. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2023. For more information see www.lighthouseguild.org/support-services/academic-and-career-services/scholarships.

 

Free IEP Reviews---NJ

ARC of New Jersey has partnered with the Law team of Hinkle, Prior & Fischer to provide free 20 minute IEP reviews for NJ families who have questions or concerns about their children’s IEP.  Events will be held at ARC of Essex on February 28th; ARC of Monmouth on March 14th; and ARC of Atlantic on April 19th. Each event begins with an overview of parents rights from 6:00-6:30 pm. Space is limited, and registration is required. To reserve a slot contact Kristina Tosti at 609-896-4200.

 

Camp Scholarships

The application process for camp scholarships through the Kids-n-Camp fund is now open. They help fund camp for kids in need ages 9-16. Applications will close when the maximum number of applications have been reached. Application does not guarantee funding. For more information see  www.kicfund.com
