Autism Tech Program---Ohel will be offering a series of four 1-hour technology workshops for teens and young adults on the Autism spectrum. Participants will increase their tech skills by learning how to design a digital game on iPads. Classes will take place on May 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 1268 East 14th Street in Brooklyn---ages 14-19 meet from 5:30 – 6:30, and ages 20- 25 meet from 6:45 – 7:45. Autism Scholarship Program - The 2018 Autism Family Services of New Jersey Scholarship Program is open to New Jersey residents with a diagnosis of Autism. This year, Autism Family Services of New Jersey will be selecting one recipient to receive a $1,000 scholarship. To be eligible, candidates must be a New Jersey resident, graduating high school in 2018, have an established diagnosis of Autism, Asperger Syndrome, or PDD-NOS and plan on pursuing a post-secondary education. This scholarship is unique since it allows 2018 graduates pursuing a college, university, technical, trade, or vocational school level education to apply. New Jersey's Mobile Response and Stabilization Services---MRSS is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help children and youth (up to age 21) who are experiencing an emotional or behavioral crisis. The services are designed to defuse an immediate crisis and include:
- Response to site of crisis within 1 hour
- Crisis de-escalation and safety assessment
- Treatment planning
- Stabilization services for up to 8 weeks
- Discharge planning, including referral for ongoing services in the community as needed

PerformCare is part of the New Jersey Children's System of Care - the division of the Department of Children and Families which authorizes services for youth (up to their 21st birthday) with emotional or behavioral challenges, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and substance abuse needs.
Adaptive Sports---Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, New York has begun this season’s adaptive sports program. Prior experience is not required to participate in any activity. All activities are supervised by experienced staff, including recreational and physical therapists, taking into account individual needs and abilities. Adaptive equipment is available and used as necessary for all activities. They also provide assistance in helping individuals obtain funding for their own personal equipment. The Program is open to individuals with all types of disabilities, including spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, cardiac conditions, orthopedic and neurological disorders. Workshop for mothers with ADD/ADHD or Mothers of children with ADD/ADHD---Beitar’s Otzmah Center is arranging a group for mothers with ADD/ADHD and mothers of children with ADD/ADHD who are Beitar residents. Receive practical tools for employment despite the difficulties (including private session for full-time participants).
