L’Chaim Shidduch Meetings---L’Chaim’s Nine Days Global Community Shidduch Event will be taking place from Rosh Chodesh Av through Tisha B’Av, Sunday, July 23 – Tuesday, August 1 2017. There is a special need to facilitate shiduchim for high functioning people with disabilities in our communities. Take the initiative to help by organizing and/or attending a Shidduch meeting. The residence is for a male, mild to moderate DD, ambulatory or non ambulatory, and the residence has a very large age range (twenties through eighties). All rooms are shared. The APBD Research Foundation needs 200 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of Adult Polyglucosan Body Disease to be considered for a free drug initiative. One in 68 Ashklenazim are carriers, but few are properly diagnosed. Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC will help establish a diagnosis by testing a saliva sample from a special kit sent by mail at no charge.
