L’Chaim Shidduch Meetings---The L'Chaim Global Community Shidduch Event is scheduled from Sunday, January 29 – Sunday, February 12, 2017. Join women the world over who are facilitating community and intercommunity shidduchim. There is a special need to hold meetings to facilitate shidduchim for the many higher functioning young people with disabilities or medical issues. Surveillance Cameras On Loan---New Jersey has started a Safe Care Cam loan program which will lend a tiny surveillance camera to families who suspect that an aide may be abusing their loved one. Special Needs Babysitting Course---JCC Metrowest (NJ) will be sponsoring a 5-week course beginning February 19, which will train teens in CPR, first aid, handling emergencies, disability awareness, child development and behavioral challenges, modifying games, communication, etc. For more information contact Rebecca Wanatick at 973-929-3129 or

Megama LaAtid – Professional Technological Education in Special Ed. A unique 3-year program for high school graduates. This course is for:
- Students with special needs who have graduated high school this past year and have undergone a vaadat hasama in the past or are studying in a mainstreaming program.
- Motivated to continue studying and acquiring a profession
- Have successfully completed (passed) at least 2 of the three required Liba areas: English/math/primary language acc to the required 90-hour study program (or can handle these requirements, based on the educational team’s opinion)
- Can function independently
- Do not have a right to a full teudat bagrut by the end of high school

Lev Bakehillah Rights And Benefits Center---The Lev Bakehillah Rights and Benefits Center in conjunction with Ezer Mitzion’s Family Consultation Center, works to enable Haredi individuals with disabilities to know and utilize their rights and benefits. Some of these include: the right to housing, education, employment, accessibility, health services, revachah (Bituach Leumi), equality, and more.
