Kol Haloshon Novel Idea---Kol Haloshon phone line has a project called the Novel Idea where they have recorded frum books for those who can’t read traditional print books. Project SEARCH Transition Program at Good Samaritan Hospital--- Project SEARCH is a business-led transition program designed for students with disabilities in their final year of school whose main goal is employment and who will benefit from career exploration. The cornerstone of the one school-year program is immersion into Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern NY. The students learn employability and job skills while participating in a variety of worksite rotations. Individualized job development and placement occurs based on the student’s experiences, strengths, and skills. Students are given support with accommodations, adaptations, and on-the-job coaching. Courthouse Accessibility---New York Lawyers for the Public Interest would like to hear from anyone who has experienced barriers at a courthouse, such as inaccessible entrances, restrooms, offices, jury boxes or witness boxes. They are also seeking feedback from anyone who may have been told by court staff that they don’t need to or can’t serve on juries, as well as any individuals who have had problems getting information about accommodations. Low Cost Computers For the Visually Impaired---Computers For The Blind is providing visually impaired consumers with a refurbished desktop computer package (desktop computer, flat screen monitor, and peripherals) for $50 or a laptop for $70. An award letter from SSA is required. Parents of a child with a visual impairment may receive a desktop computer package (desktop computer, flat screen monitor, and peripherals) for $50 or a laptop for $70. A letter of recommendation from the student's teacher of the visually impaired is required. The letter needs to indicate that obtaining a computer at our standard price of $110 would create a financial burden on the family, and that the student needs a computer and is capable of benefiting from it. Insurance Information---According to Maccabi, anyone who has 75% or more “אי כושר” in Bituach Leumi need to pay only up to 140 ILS per month for medications that have a 10-15% kupah participation. In addition, you may receive a retroactive reimbursement for the difference on all medications purchased from 2011, whose kuppah participation was between 10-15%, and for which you paid more than 140 ILS a month. You can only be reimbursed up to 7 years back, from 2011 and on. Bring from the Bituach Leumi (or the machine outside the branch or download it from the BL website) – a separate form for each page that you have or had 75% אי כושר.
You need to bring the above form at the beginning of every secular year to keep getting this benefit. Check with your kuppah for more information.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa Hotline---The Hidradenitis Suppurativa organization operates a hotline at 04-649-4120 where a nurse (in charge of the skin clinic in a hospital) responds. Hotline began on 19 Kislev and will go on for four weeks, on Mondays, between 9-11 pm and on Wednesdays between 1-3 pm.
