Product Recall---Sabra is recalling some hummus products and spreads distributed in the USA and Canada because of possible Listeria contamination. The products were manufactured before November 8 at a plant where Listeria monocytogenes have been found, but the bacteria has not been found in products that have been tested. Consumers are urged to discard any product with a “Best Before” date through January 23, 2017. That date can be found on the lid of each package. Sabra products not included in the recall are Sabra Organic Hummus, Sabra Salsa, Sabra Guacamole and Sabra Greek Yogurt Dips. See www.sabra.com for more information.

Product Recall---Some bags of Gefen brand Chulent Mix with the UPC# 710069035003 and Cranberry Beans UPC# 710069035300 with Best By dates ranging from 8/18 to 10/18 were found to contain insects. After consulting with their Certifying Agency, The Volover Rav, they advise customers that possibly affected product should be withdrawn from the marketplace and not used.

Special-ed preschools in Haifa that will NOT be opened tomorrow (Friday) due to the raging fires:

Special ed elementary schools will open as usual, besides for “Achuzat Yeladim” in the Achuzah neighborhood, which has been evacuated.
