New Special Ed School---Yad Yisroel is a new special ed school located in the Flatbush Ahava building which will be premiering for the September 2015 school term. They are accepting children ages 5-12 years old with autism and other neurological impairments. All therapies are on site and therapists will work collaboratively with school staff. They work with the Board of Ed and (straight) Medicaid. For more information contact Mrs. K. Autism Grants for Organizations---Autism Speaks is now accepting applications for grants of up to $5000 to help organizations start new programs for individuals with autism. L’Chaim Shidduch Meetings---L’Chaim schedules yearly global shidduch meetings between Rosh Chodesh Av and Tisha B’Av in an effort to help bring more couples under the chuppah. At these meetings, women with a heart meet to discuss Jewish singles who are looking for Shidduchim. Take the opportunity or encourage a friend to make and/or host a meeting, wherever you may be this summer.
