Beineinu Parent Support Group---Asperger’s---Beineinu’s support group for parents dealing with Asperger’s Syndrome will be starting soon. Project Extreme Summer Program---Project Extreme will be running therapeutic summer adventure programs for teens at risk ages 13-18. Camp Extreme is a warm, nurturing and supportive environment developed to overcome destructive patterns and optimize positive modeling of behaviors and social interactions. Campers experience numerous and diverse outdoor settings in order to develop self-confidence, teamwork skills, and respect for others and themselves. Camp Extreme for boys will take place June 30-July 20 in the Canadian Rockies. Camp Extreme for girls will take place July 28-August 18 in the Midwest Campus. Sensory Bounce---Bounce! Trampoline Sports at 612 Corporate Way, Valley Cottage NY has teamed up with Giant Leaps Occupational Therapy to offer a special evening for those with Sensory Processing Disorders and others with sensory challenges including those with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Tuesday evening program is geared toward children with sensory issues and those on the autism spectrum. The hour-long program will include decreased auditory and visual stimuli in a less crowded environment, structured group activities with limited class size, and an available quiet room with sensory manipulatives. Building Blocks Special Needs Magazine---The next quarterly edition of Building Blocks special needs magazine will be published this week. It will be included as a free insert in the weekly Jewish Press newspaper, available Wednesday on newsstands in Jewish areas all over the USA.

Motorized Wheelchair Rentals---Want to travel around in Israel or abroad and have a hard time walking? Ahava has made available (external) motorized wheelchairs and folding scooter rentals for easier travel. The "added" external motor assists the person pushing the wheelchair to make it easier for him. The motor is easily detached from the wheelchair to turn it into a regular wheelchair. Scooter is driven by the rider, is easy to maneuver and requires no background in driving.
