Drooling Survey--- Merz Pharmaceuticals is seeking caregiver input for a short online survey on chronic drooling experienced by people with CP and other disabilities. Merz plans to use the information for the development of a treatment. The survey is at www.surveymonkey.com/r/2VKWGSD.
Autism Employer Guide---The Arc has launched a new resource called Talent Scout, a guide for employers to employ people with autism. The toolkit teaches employers the most successful ways to hire and retain workers with autism. To access the guide visit www.thearc.org.
Hotel Access Survey---Doctors from the Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies and Physical Education at the SUNY College at Brockport are conducting a study on accessibility of hotels and tourism facilities for people with disabilities. Kvish 1 Fast Lane---Cars of people with physical disabilities who have the proper marking as per the Misrad Harishuy regulations (blue parking ticket) are exempt from payment for driving in the fast lane when the disabled person is the one driving or traveling in it. The fast lane is a lane going along Kvish #1 between the airport and the Kibbutz Galuyot bridge in Ayalon. Entrance is near the Ben Gurion airport and the lane ends after the Kibbutz Galuyot interchange. The lane is separated from the other lanes in Kvish 1 and you cannot go in or out of the lane in middle, other than in the "Chaneh Vessa" parking lot. Entrance to lane: from Kvish 1 (Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Road) toward Tel Aviv (lane is not accessible directly from the airport), from Kvish 4 (in the Ganot intersection you must turn to Kvish 1 toward Jerusalem and enter the area), and from Kvish 412 from the direction of Yahud and Rishon through the "Chaneh Vessa" area.
