- employ a nurse/caregiver at least 12 hours per day, 6 days a week
- the nurse/caregiver is not a relative
- the caregiver is hired for pay by written agreement
- one who employs a foreign worker must have a permit from Misrad HaPnim (Rashut Hahagira) to employ a foreign worker, and th worker must be a legal resident in Israel.
To submit the request:
- one who is interested in employing a foreign worker as a caregiver – when submitting the request to the Immigration Authorities, he will asked to select, on the request form, whether he would like to receive the benefit in money or through services from a nursing company.
- One who is already employing a caregiver and receiving nursing benefits from the Bituahc Leumi should submit, directly to the Bituah Leumi, the form "תביעה לתשלום גמלה בכסף למעסיק של מטפל צמוד" ("Claim for Cash Benefits for Employers of Private Nurses/Caregivers" - Form 2655). You can download the form from the Bituach Leumi website.
