If your child is between 8-15 years old and experiences symptoms of ADHD such as being easily distracted, making careless mistakes, being forgetful in daily activities, having difficulty paying attention and difficulty organizing, your child may be eligible for this trial. Your child will receive at no cost: a comprehensive psychiatric and physical screening to determine whether he or she has ADHD and is healthy enough to be treated with medication; pre-and post-treatment fMRI scanning; weekly visits with our physicians; up to 2 months of medication (either during the trial or, if assigned to placebo, after 6 to 8 weeks of participation), and referral for on-going care with progress report of participation.
