Osteoporosis Study—Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, New York will be conducting a 1-year clinical research study examining the treatment of osteoporosis using the medications Prolia and Reclast. Participants must be women who are diagnosed with osteoporosis, menopausal, 55 years of age or older, who received oral bisphosphonate therapy for osteoporosis for at least 2 years immediately prior to screening. Participants must visit the clinical research center every 3 months, for a total of 4 visits. Women who qualify will receive at no cost: bone density tests and physician visits, lab tests related to the study, and treatments with the medications Prolia and Reclast. Gaucher Disease--The Israeli Organization for Gaucher will be publishing the Gaushinton – Gauchers newsletter 2014 – which will address "Challenges and Dealing with Gaucher" They would love to hear from you if you have any ideas or experience to share. Research Study On Legal Rights—An attorney preparing her doctorate is doing a research study on parents experiences with mainstreaming their child in society, exercising their child’s rights, and dealing with the legal and governmental system. As a mother of two medically involved children herself, her goal is to promote needed improvements in the system.
