Neurofibromatosis—The Children’s Tumor Foundation’s online NF registry helps match NF patients with clinical trials and research studies that may help them. This past April, the registry was able to inform 50 patients about a tibial bowing study for which they were eligible. New York City Adaptive Summer Sports Programs:

Indoor Wheelchair Soccer on Mondays from 7-9 pm at Roy Wilkens Park located at Baisley Blvd and 177th Street in St. Albans, Queens, NY

Wheelchair Softball on Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 pm at Bulova Park 25th Ave and 76th Street in East Elmhurst, Queens, NY


Wheelchair Football on Wednesdays from 7-9 pm being held at Forest Park located at Woodhaven Blvd and Myrtle Ave in Forest Hills, Queens, NY.


Wheelchair Basketball on Thursdays from 7:30-9:30 pm at the Al Oerter Recreation Center located at 131-40 Fowler Ave in Flushing, Queens NY.

Medical Assistants (saya'ot refuiyot)—Beginning July 16, 2013, the Misrad Hachinuch has ruled that children that are eligible for a medical assistant to care for their medical needs in school (regular class) may continue using a medical assistant during summer camp.
