HealthWell Foundation
800-675-8416
A foundation that helps underinsured patients with medications, supplies, supplements, co-pays and insurance premiums for specific health conditions or diseases. To qualify for assistance, you must have some form of health insurance such as private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or Tricare, that covers part of the cost of your treatment. To be eligible for medication coverage, your medication must be listed under their disease fund associated with their patient grant. They ask that you first contact the manufacturer of your medication to ask about possible assistance through them, as most drug manufacturers (pharmaceutical companies) offer Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) for insured patients who cannot afford their medications. HealthWell's funding streams will fund after the PAPs are exhausted.
