Grottoes of NA will provide dental care for children under 18 years of age with special needs such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Mental Retardation, or an organ transplant.
Children who have Medicaid are not eligible for this program.Their program, Dental Care For Children, would be the secondary carrier when insurance is involved, and the primary carrier if no insurance is available.

Dental Lifeline Network is a national humanitarian organization providing free or low cost access to comprehensive dental services for people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically at-risk. Dental Lifeline Network provides these services through a national network of direct service programs that involve over 15,000 volunteer dentists and 3,200 volunteer labs.
To qualify for treatment:
- One must have a permanent and severe disability, chronic illness or be 65 years or older. The disability may be physical, mental, or psychological in nature. It must be a permanent condition that prohibits full-time employment.
- One must be unable to pay for dental treatment and show that there is no other means of obtaining needed dental care.
- One must need extensive treatment, i.e., more than routine care.
- Cannot have private or state dental insurance that will cover dental care.
