Volunteers who are also mothers of preemies will answer the hotline and provide support, advice, and answers. Weecare offers rides, meals, help at home, and activities for siblings. The ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) Foundation, strives to help parents of children born to soon to be able to make choices about their infant or child’s future. Through their website, parents are able to get the answers they have been looking for. The foundation was founded by people who have a personal experience with Retinopathy of Prematurity in conjunction with a group of retina surgeons. The Preemie-L Discussion Forum supports families of premature babies while the babies are in hospital and as they grow up. Discussions are focused on the experience of prematurity for family, the babies themselves, and friends.
