Kosher hospitality rooms are in-hospital rooms stocked with kosher food and drinks, reading material, Jewish religious needs, and other amenities for use by Jewish patients and their families. For information or assistance, call the organization listed below as servicing that hospital’s room.

Sinai Hospital

Bikur Cholim provides two kosher pantries for the benefit of patients and their family members. The Kosher Pantry is stocked weekly with fresh kosher meals and special Shabbos foods, prayer books, electric candlesticks, reading material, and much more.

The main pantry is located on the first floor of the hospital of Sinai, across from the SUBWAY in the corridor between the Blaustein building and the children’s building. A second pantry is located in the ER-7 EMS room of the hospital.

 

University of Maryland Medical Center

 Bikur Cholim provides a Kosher Pantry, stocked with food from Bikur Cholim, that includes a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, sink, conference-sized table for Shabbat meals and a bed for Shabbat stays.  Kosher Hospitality Pantry is located on the 6th floor of the Gudelsky building. To find the kosher hospitality room at UMMC please take the Gudelsky elevator to the 6th floor 

 

Johns Hopkins Hospital

 The Bikur Cholim Kosher Pantry is located in Room 175 of the Blalock Building. It is stocked by Bikur Cholim volunteers with microwaveable meals, snacks, cholov yisroel yogurt, milk and other items and has a microwave in the pantry as well. The code is on the door. Please call for special requests to be placed in the fridge as well.
