Diagnosing Autism Using Brain Waves

Dr. Aditi Shankardass is a neurologist who developed a special test to find and diagnose devlopemental disorders in children, using brain waves.  According to her, diagnosing a child with a developmental disorder originating from the brain, without checking the brain, is like treating a cardiac patient without actually checking his heart.  In a beautiful presentation on TED, she explains how this test saved thousands of children who were otherwise previously mis-diagnosed.
