Best Disease

Also known as vitelliform macular dystrophy.  An inherited form of macular degeneration in which a yellow fluid filled cyst forms between the retinal pigment epithelium and the macula.  The cyst eventually ruptures, and the released fluid damages the retina’s photoreceptors.
