A program providing grant funding for medical treatment, lab testing, medications and supplements not covered by the family’s insurance. Autism Cares

Autism Cares provides support for families affected by autism during natural disasters and other catastrophic life events. They helps families to cover costs associated with critical living expenses such as housing, utilities, car repair, day care, funeral expenses, and other essential items on a case-by-case basis.

Families must complete an online application and identify vendor(s) to be covered by the support award. Grants are awarded on a monthly basis.

Joey’s Fund addresses a variety of challenges and needs for individuals with autism:

  • Respite care
  • Recreational programs
  • Educational Evaluations -consultant's fee
  • Art classes
  • Music therapy
  • Books and educational videos
  • Computer software - Communication needs
  • Therapies
  • Camp tuition
  • Safety-related items
  • Social skills training

 

Applicants have family member(s) medically diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and reside in New England (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire & Maine).  Families can apply for up to $2,000 through Joey’s Fund (up to $3,000 if grant would benefit more than one family member with autism). Only one program or service per individual will be reviewed and considered. Families are only eligible to apply if they have not received funding in the previous year.
