Partial or complete loss of hair on the head, face, and body.  There are various types of alopecia, but the most common form is alopecia areata, which is an autoimmune disorder.  It can be limited to just a few patches or be more extensive.  There is no cure, but some topical treatments and steroid injections may help the hair grow back, at least temporarily.
