Alpha-Gal Syndrome Synopsis

Alpha-Gal Syndrome is a food allergy to red meats such as veal, beef, lamb, and other products derived from mammals which can typically cause anaphylactic reactions. It is caused by the bite of the Lone Star tick. There is currently no treatment other than avoiding red meat and other mammalian products.
