My twins had craniosynostosis surgery at 18 months old. This is very late to have this surgery, but it has been very successful. Cognitively, they have done extremely well since their surgery. They just recently had genetic testing that reveals that their particular craniosynostosis is not part of a genetic syndrome (there are a number of craniosynostosis syndromes).
