Wegener's Granulomatosis

A rare disease of inflammation of the blood vessels, called vasculitis.  Symptoms can affect many organs, but the most common are nasal and  sinus inflammation sometimes causing a “saddle nose” deformity.  Vasculitis involving the kidneys or lungs can result in severe organ damage.  Treatment involves corticosteroids and other immunosuppressive drugs.
