Shock

Shock consists of a group of severe symptoms and signs that imply a very serious circulatory abnormality.  Symptoms include very low blood pressure, confusion and altered consciousness, generalized pallor and cold clammy skin, poor breathing, and low urine formation.  When a person is in shock, the body channels blood flow to the heart and brain at the expense of other organs.
