Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)

A contagious respiratory disease caused by virus which is a major cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in children.  Symptoms are runny nose, fever, cough, rapid or shallow breathing, wheezing, and loss of appetite.  Treatment is for relief of symptoms.
