Pleurisy

An inflammation of the lining of the lings caused by infection, chest trauma, rheumatic diseases, or lung cancer, which causes pain in the chest, shoulder, neck, or abdomen upon breathing or coughing.  Treatment is by pain medication and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as treatment of the underlying cause.
