Impetigo

A bacterial infection of the superficial layers of the skin.  Symptoms include red, inflamed lesions over the skin, usually on the face.  The lesions enlarge, become fluid filled, and eventually rupture and drain pus.  Treatment is by topical and/or oral antibiotics.
