Herpes Infections

A contagious lifelong infection caused by two viruses (HSV-1 and HSV-2) that can cause recurrent episodes of blisters on the mouth, face, or genitals.  There is currently no cure.  Treatment includes antiviral medications during breakouts, and local treatment to ease discomfort of sores.
