Her's Disease

An autosomal recessive (inherited from both parents) metabolic disorder affecting the storage of glycogen in the body.  There are often no visible symptoms, but it can cause enlargement of the liver with episodes of low blood sugar when fasting.  Treatment is by regulation of diet.  See glycogen storage diseases.
