Choroidermia

Also known as tapetochoroidal dystrophy.  A rare x-linked inherited disorder affecting only males which caused by loss of the REP-1 gene.  Symptoms are  degeneration of choroids and retinal pigmented epithelial (RPE) cells and photoreceptor loss.  It causes peripheral vision loss sometimes followed by central vision loss. This degeneration continues throughout life.
