AIRA (Access to Information through Remote Assistance) is a service which connects people who are blind or visually impaired to a professional agent who provide real-time visual information through a smartphone or smart glasses. Whether its sorting through a stack of important medical documents, finding your way in an unfamiliar environment or identifying the right medication, accurate descriptive guidance for someone with vision loss can make the difference.
This workshop, joined by an AIRA representative, will provide a comprehensive introduction to AIRA, featuring demonstrations, firsthand user experiences and discussion on its use. Did you know, while AIRA is a pay-for subscription plan, it can be used at certain partner businesses for free? Or that everyone can use up to 5 minutes per day at no cost!
